emailed that lady at enom, no reply yet. But today I emailed her again and the auto responder gave me a phone number telling me she will be back in the office in a few days. Will definitely call her then!
I have read about 100's of people who are in the same boat as me... Here is the deal... I am unable to renew my domain names. I pay upto 5 times ,but get domain renewal failed everytime. MY account has never been refunded... They encourage you to change your whois to protectfly, so you never get spam, except they keep the mails so you wont every get a transfer notice.. When you change details on whois , you cant transfer for another 60 days.. How can we get our domains out??? They dont respond to calls or livesupport and you get a response a week later saying it will be fixed 24 hour later, only to take another payment from you. I am also trying to jump ship, but I might loose some domains in the process. We should hunt these guys down.
I have their marketing directors direct cell and home number - his name is Kevin I think we should form a class action suit against them
I can´t believe that this has happened. The damage must be out of control. If anyone hears about a class action suit coming up, please post the info here!
Need to join this too, BlogMaster i'm losing a good domain that i've with them there already with traffic and PR
I have lost 2, both of which get a combined amount of 1,300 unique visitors a day thru links and type ins. (I have emailed the lady at enom again, she is very helpful, asked her if she is aware of any ongoing legal actions against registerfly)
Still in the same boat... Tried to get mine out and register it elsewhere, now it's disappeared - doesn't even show up in my account.
maybe this will start doing something digg.com/tech_deals/Registerfly_loses_100s_of_thousands_of_clientsadomain_names
Thanks, btw I would love to link to this thread from my blog, since there is good info here as well. Do you think that they will ban the story if the blog links to DP in addition to wtf?
you can't predict how would digg act regarding the story but only time could tell but RF is fishy already and almost every webmaster knew about their hole in the system which made lots of people lose control on their domains either in locked accounts or uncompleted domain transfers
