We're in google forum, and PR has to do lots of things with rankings! Especially if we funel that into the long tail pages :)

Share with us some blackhat techniques please.

I've read numerous eBooks and still haven't found any techniques that are "out of the box" mentality. Most are common sense ways, but there's got to be other ways.

    TIA

Keep in mind that there are TWO different kinds of Page Rank (PR)

TBPR = What you see on your tool bar, the green pixels that google shows you.

PR = The page rank that Google uses in its algorithms, which no one can see.

I should have mentioned in the first post, but I saw many lower PR sites rank higher for many keywords on Google. I wasn't referring to MSN & Yahoo. It is interesting that PR is supposed to be the rank of your site on Google, yet from what I have seen, that is not at all how it is. I can go through and find some examples for you all if you need.

    PR does affect SERP, IMO.

    Thats interesting point :D

But google works in general like this:

If you have your website properly optimized on-page (titles, description, h1, internal linking, structure), then all you miss is strong PR links. They don't have to be in 1000's just strong, juicy PR links! :)

As for yahoo/msn, seems for them its enough just loads of links at the moment and you can get your site pretty up quickly. Especially msn.
