I lived in Stow Park Avenue for 6 months, and I can confirm that Newport is without doubt the biggest hole in Wales. It makes Detroit look like Shangri las
Does anyone who is up on politics know if everyone is breaking off from the UK? I remember reading a while back Scotland, Wales and NI wanted to become separate?
I think scotland is seperate, and Im sure some would like wales to be seperate, but I dont think that will happen TBH DD
Wow, I live about 20 mins from Newport In a lil town called Caldicot. Neport will be real nice in 5-10 years mind, it's getting some serious development aint it.
OKay . . . UK. Born and Bred in Chester . . . but escaped to Colwyn Bay : Principality of Wales. I'm loving it !!!
Hi there - I'm also UK. Northumberland to be precise (yes, we do have internet technology up there lol).
What's this - pick on South Wales day today? If it wasn't for South Wales we wouldn't have brilliant inventions like the.... erm.... Pot Noodle! But seriously I've seen some very beautiful little villages up the Ebbw Valley and such like.
Watford high streets got some ok clubs, destinys and area i go every few months, the shopping centre aint bad either better than brent cross anyway.
They need to knock down that old shitty castle, and the 'wave'. The only decent looking thing is the footbridge near the lesuire centre. The new riverfront building near the bus station is just a tacky attempt at a modern building...and the transporter bridge speaks for it self: A big steel piece of shit.
LOL Im actually surprised how many welsh people are on here. Considering the amount of English compared to scots and welshies in Britain I expected majority English. A recent poll (from the other week) showed that the Scottish people want to become separate - and the number of Scots expressing this opinion is growing. But the majority of English dont want the Scots to become separate. With the greatest repsect to the Scots what would they gain from separating from Britain? Everyone outside of Britain and Europe would just forget about them and they would become a nothing in the global picture. Oh well if thats what they want - its fine by me! Anyway, thats my politics lesson over!
Ah I been up there, It's a nice view from up there, even if it aint such a great view from the ground. Building a 21 or 23 story office block or something I think, where they knocked down the car park. Cool to hear from someone this local, on such a worldwide website
