Anyone using WP-Autoblog plugin?

Thats ok... I got that point. But the question is does it keep pingging the feeds to know its updated or is there any specific time.

 

Something is buggy with this plugin. Have you noticed if you delete one of the auto generated blog posts, it ends up reappearing?

Yep. It's because it pings the feed for an update. You need to delete the post from the feed blog. If you don't own the feed blog well you are in trouble.

FeedWordPress - i'm using update-feeds.php to pull the posts.The thing is,every time i do this all the posts are pulled.Even those that are already published ! How do i prevent this? Bot to mention i manually need to asign to categories cause it's not creating them.

 

I've found that none of the plugins you can get do the job the way I want. So I wrote my own using XML-RPC which works great.

 

I agree there are some real concerns with both .. plugins .. there ok .. to pull some stuff .. but they get a lot wrong and in some themes they duplicate there post or credit info .. strange stuff.

By hand is were I had to go back to. lol

 

This totaly sucks lol.... I'm tired deleting the posts time and time again.

 

What did you make n how it works? you mind sharing your creation with us?

 

If anyone has any idea how to prevent feedwordpress from pulling the same posts again and again each time i'm doing the update plz let me know.

 

Thats odd i have used that plugin quite a few times and haven't encounter that problem. Are you calling up update-feeds.php yourself, or do you have a cron job setup to do that?

Let me get this straight, there is a way to easily convert an rss feed into posts? Thats what it sounds like your talking about, but I cant seem to find a good way to do that. I used rss2html which makes a directory and works great, but I want to auto fill a blog with content, atleast until I can get people to come and start creating their own blogs.

Yes, cat that is easy. But you must be careful you don't want to get banned from Adsense if you have because of too many dupes and scraped contents.

 

Adsense won't ban you for dup content. You can trust me on that one. It will be the type of content they you could ban you on though. If it's p0rn or stuff like that.
