Hi, I am using AdBrite for 1-2 months already sometime more successfully sometime less and would like to hear what is your experience with them as advertisers? For example: * how quick do they respond to customer support requests. I am not asking about the automated reply * Do you often get in the situation when you pay for advertising on web site, they approve your ad and then they do not show it? What you do in such case? * Do you often have situation when your ad is waiting approval forever ? What do you do in that case? I do not see any possibility to cancel or to delete the ads which are approved but not shown and which are "waiting approval" but neither get approval nor get rejected? The only option I see is to cancel the recurency, but it will affect the ad only after the period for which has been payed expire. So , how to get back and reuse the money from the publishers that are not correct ? Have you been dealing with similar problems?
it took 3 days for me and i got a reply of "what is you account name,so we can help you better." it was a general question.better to call. yes,but it was only 30 cents,so i didn't worry about it. call them and you'll get credit. yes.i was told that adbrite will approve on behalf of the seller if it hasn't been aproved in a week.if it is not aproved in a week call them. there isn't,you need to call them. yes
Hi zodiac, Thank you for shareing your experience using AdBrite. If I have to call them for every small detail, then I better advertise on CNN. The international phone conversation with their support will cost me the advertisement for year ahead By the way, apart from the above mentioned issues, are you happy with the results when advertising with AdBrite? Traffic / price / ROI ?
the site i advertised wouldn't convert well with any ad company.for the amount i spent on it,it was worth it.
Just to update you about my experience with AdBrite online support. Ten days ago I sent a request to them followed by one reminder sent three days ago and no reply. It is like to talk to the wall.
email support kinda sucks, but i have gotten a reply the 2 times i sent them a ticket. the second time we exchanged a few emails untill they requested some info, then i got no reply. they do have a toll free number.(877) 232-5200
they forgot to send my last payment they said they gonna send it on the next payment cycle and they send checks out every two months forcing me to pay fo r my website out of pocket i was pissed
they send out checks out every month. they process payments today,so if it was the check for january you should get a check in a week. it's not uncommon for a company to send it out the next payment cycle, even if it is their mistake.
I tried them with horrible results. I was running ads for a site that has converted well with every other PPC network I tried. I did not get one conversion, so I asked to have my account closed and my credit card removed from their files. They continued to charge my credit card with no notice, when I was not even running ads on their network. In all I probably paid them $75+ for absolutely nothing. I would not suggest their services to anyone..
adbrite is a pretty good advertising company, they are actually making me more money than YPN, mostly because not only do I get a lot of foreign traffic, but a lot of YPN ads don't target well with some of my sites.
AdBrite has recently moved to a new model for buying ads for advertisers. Previously you would buy ads on the entire network or on specific sites. And they only used to support text ads. Now you can buy ads using their traffic estimator in particular content channels and they support text, banners and interstitials. You can still buy site specific ads but the focus is moving more towards their traffic estimator. The traffic estimator helps automate the ad buying process somewhat but you still have to wait for sites to approve your ads if they don't accept all network ads. They are a small company so support may be lacking. They pay on a net 60 basis for publishers and currently only send checks which can be a pain. adbritewiki.com
I tried promoting affiliate offers via a handful of sites on adbrite and the results were terrible. The traffic converted much worse than my ppc traffic.
From an Ad Buyers point of view : I setup some advanced tracking for Click Fraud on ads I was running with them - From my tests 50-85% of the clicks they say that I got - never made its way to my server. I have filled in support notice today to get there feedback. Click fraud must be so common on there network.... or could be that its only me getting screwed, unlikely! Be careful - $0.10 click my seem cheap but not if it cost you $0.80 to get a real visitor....
Update: A few days later, I have got the requested action from the support, but have not got any e-mail about that My experience as advertiser: I use them only for site targeted ads, where the price depends only on the number of days the ad is shown. To find both cheap and promising web site, I spend a lot of time browsing their database. Most of the web sites there are worthless. Many of the sites registered as publishers do not show any adbrite ad on their pages. May be only 10 to 15 % from their publishers' web sites are really both traffic reach and with reasonable price. There are a few tricks when selecting the web site where to advertise: * look for the number of unique visitors, not for the number of page impressions * check the estimated number of clicks per day, per week and per moth - this one is extremely useful and quite good indicator * check the number of ads curently published on the web site and their placement on the page I wish their support would be better and their database regularly cleaned from the trash sites
ive had good experiences being a publisher with them, but advertising i tried it on 3 different sites and got pretty poor results from all of them. not much traffic was sent through.
I think depending upon your advertising objectives, AdBrite can be very effective for some advertisers. In particular, for driving traffic their active interstitial product works quite well. Also, their text ads can be effective on a site specific basis. I know of several advertisers who have tested various sites in the AdBrite marketplace until the found sites that worked for them. I'm currently testing their traffic estimator with their text ads. I haven't had much success yet though. AdBriteWiki.com
Hi - I've found Adbrite to be pretty effective. Although I've generally found that it is not necessarily the big websites that bring in traffic! Tom
