I have to assume if they are going after only 50 it is big companies and not individual people. Anyways, they knew the rules so they really don't have any argument. I'm sure CPA Empire wasn't using it to talk with friends through myspace.
I saw the list too, and am surprised we're on it. We've been extremely pro-active in booting affiliates using MySpace. We've never received any cease and desist notices from them, we just decided to disallow MySpace traffic since it's the right thing to do, and remove publishers who break the rules once we catch them. Of course, we haven't been contacted by anyone from MySpace regarding a law suit, so perhaps an error has been made.
Not a spammer forum but it is a little bit wild west. There are some spammers there and people doing all kinds of things. Clearly some of the spammers get bitter about it.
