the title says it all, but basically I'm looking for a host that will provide me with quite a bit of BW and space for a small amount, preferably >10.

    Thanks.

Get a VPS that allows proxies or a cheap dedi box...there's no way out...cause most shared/reseller hosts suspend proxy sites.

    www.servint.com

Get a VPS Essential Package with them. I currently host 3 proxies with it, and it's been great so far.

servint has very good support. Watch your bandwith though, and watch it in the customer portal, not at the cPanel or WHM.

    49/month is a bit high.
Anything a bit cheaper for a proxy site?
Do you all run multiple proxies on this web host?

I run three proxies on it, no worries so far.
Anyways, with a proxy you can't be cheap with hosting, you need the reliability.
+ Within the first month I'm making enough from my proxies to cover the hosting cost.

How much traffic do you use/have?
What ads do you use? Adsense/adversal?

    yes dturnbull,

it would be good to know how much you make from your 3 proxies compared to what you pay out...

    Cheers man.

I've been thinking about having a proxy site, but the higher cost of a VPS has put me off.

At the rate I'm going currently, I'm making about $20-$30 profit monthly (so about $2 a day), but my proxies have only been open for 10 days, I expect within the next couple of months to be profiting $75-$120 a month. It's not an amazing amount, but for little to zero work on the proxies, it's a nice bit of extra cash.

I would like to test out my proxy popularity before investing in expensive hosting plans.

So my question is, is there any free hosting service that would allow me to host a proxy site? Thanks.

    No.
Just buy 1 month of VPS, if you don't make ur money in the first month, cancel it. Simple.

    Definitely not.
Nothing that cheap could support a proxy.

I think i told this before, Hagio-Host proxy service is really great. I experienced and thats why i m recommending. A bit costly if you count it with other shared hosting, but definitely proxy and shared hosting are not the same. :)

    http://service.hagiohost.com/order.php

You can select proxy hosting to see their offers.
