I received an email inviting me and my website to register at Amazon's Seller central. Can someone give me a summary of how this works? Do I integrate it with my current website? Is this best as a stand alone store of some type? I am looking to interate it with my retail website - www.TruckTechniques.com Thanks - Joe
OK, it looks like I can list my products on Amazon.com, pay the $39.99 monthly fee plus Amazon gets a commission on any items I sell there. Does anyone know what the commission percentage is? I need a valid login to see the agreement page from what I can see.
The commission for selling on Amazon is * Computers = 6 percent * Camera & Photo, Cell Phones & Service, and Electronics items = 8 percent * Items in the Everything Else Store = 10 percent * Musical Instruments = 12 percent * All other product lines = 15 percent (including books, dvds, etc.) I have been selling on Amazon for 5 years (books only).
I've just placed Amazon banners on my blog, can you give me som info how much can you earn with them on average?
I presume those are the rates if you are in this program. If you just have banners or text links on your site, you can find the rates by going to associates.amazon.com and logging in. The new rate chart is displayed there. Be sure you signed up for the performance option or you will get a flat 4%. The referral fee goes up by the number of items you sell in a month, and is retroactive to all sales for the month. There is no way to tell how much you will make. It depends on your site and your traffic.
