It's like Google opened the floodgates to one of my sites. My traffic has been continuously climbing during the last week and most of it comes from Google. So far I am seing about 40% increase.
    :)

    Bless the Google algo

Same here, André. After averaging maybe 1,800 daily hits in the latter half of 2006, Saturday's traffic leaped to 3,500. I've never seen even as many as 2,900 before, so something dramatic happened. I would like to believe it has been my recent aggressive email marketing:) , but perhaps it's something going on in the search engine(s).

Hm. What did I do? I don't go after shady linking tactics, because I figure that those are short lived until google catches up with them. Most of my links are natural and I got some really good ones too.
Other than that my site is seod very nicely (good url structure). But its natural. Content is written by users and they don't write it for engines but people.
In my mind, the Engines will always want to come closer to evaluate a site like a person would. So I figured by writing for people I will have future SEO built in.
Dunno really. I think it was mainly link aging and trust that kicked in. I remember getting some nice links about 6 months ago.

I didn't do any of those. This site went from about 700 uniques to 1200 a day. The difference seems to be mainly Google Traffic.
The dp keyword tool doesn't reveal a lot of change but some upticks.
Hard to say why and how.
Oddly the increase is slow and it still increases.

Yes, I too get good results from G for one of my site and the site olds 2 yrs and last year I did'nt get any traffic from G and now this year it starts all, gets good traffic, I did'nt do anything new to that site, amazes how it gets traffic,

Also for a super niche keyword my site now stands at 4th position on 1st page...

I worked hard last year to get backlinks and other stuffs to get traffic from G, but failed and now I did'nt do anything and the traffic flows from G... what to say ??

Just remember to keep yourself grounded. Google can giveth and Google can taketh away.

Back in November when my dog site was doing really well in SERPS, preceeding that time, it had climbed up the ranks of Google.ca before eventually appearing high on google.com

Well then the November crash came and went, leaving me nowhere to be found.

Now I'm getting ranking back on google.ca so I feel that it is only a matter of time before I am once again back on .com also

No, sorry. I'd love to, but I won't share my good sites freely at DP anymore. Just check out the Adsense forum to see how many people get click bombed every day from envious competitors.
I can PM it to you if you like.

Well, the amount of traffic I am getting is not really something to brag about but I am not a professional SEO either and I am glad that something seems to work.
The other day, one of my users posted a somewhat competitive term in the forum and today I showed up as number 10 on G! for that. Thats pretty cool.
(The term is very seasonal and short lived though, but I take it as a good sign).
