Great link, thanks for the info. The only states that will still will have higher minimum wages than at the fenderal level are: California Connecticut Massachusetts Oregon Vermont Washington I would say this still has a pretty bid effect on most of the US states and lower wage workers.
Doubtful. Most places, McDonanld's included already pay more than minimum wage. The people this affects the most, the people that NO ONE MENTIONS, are those that were already working, were already getting a decent wage, but now see someone walk in off the streets and make what they make. WITHOUT EARNING IT! What am I talking about? Let's say minimum wage is $3/hr, and you are making $4/hr after having worked 2 years (getting raises) to get to that level. Now your wonderful saviors, the dumbacrap party raise the minimum wage to 5$ and hour. You are making $1 and hour more, but some shumck that walks in off the streets is not making the same amount as you, even after you have been there two years. So any achievement you made, any motivation you have to work hard and get ahead has just been nullified. So why work any harder? Why strive to get ahead. Moonbats will just fly in and give you a raise every now and then. I think Businesses can decide for themselves what to pay their employees, and most, do a pretty good job at it. What I would like to see is a "maximum wages" on celebrities and sports personalities. Where are the moonbats now? How about a reduction in congress's salaries?
