you only read part of my post (as usual)...most of them just get paid cash under the table...the only reason they need an SS card is in case the feds come after the employer...the employer saves money by paying them under the table as well....please read the whole post before making a lame comment...although I know that is impossible for you to do.

I grew-up in a union family....old style liberals (not like new liberals). What's ironic is that the backbone of liberalism--unions, are being divided on this issue. Quite literally the unions are being overtaken by open-border advocates.

I'm not sure what they're going for. But they're taking a huge bet with their American constituents. The power of the union keeps the democratic party going. Divisions in it will lead to huge losses in power.

    http://prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/10-13-2006/0004451254&EDATE=

A lot of people (now-a-days) promote Ceasar Chavez as a open-border advocate..which he was not. Union workers are adamantly against illegal immigration. It's been suggested that up to 20% of the construction business is with illegal immigrants, which does really undercut the average union worker or any worker for that matter.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't really appeal to unions, although to a point I understand their existence. Bosses are sometimes dicks, and union often do keep that in check. So in some sense I have a lot more respect for the old liberals that tend to reside in union jobs, than I do for the ivory tower new liberals.

So not all democrats are siding with illegal immigration, but most of their politicians are....it's kind-of sad. In ways it seems like they're trying to replace their constiuents.

    :) totally, dude lol ...

One, I want people to follow the rules. If I have to follow the rule of law, then so does everyone else. Deport them upon capture. Don't jail them here. Jail them in Mexico. Close the purse strings with the Mexican government until we get an appropriate policy in place. Secondly, troops. We need to stop being such pussies about defending our border. I'm sorry their country sucks; It's because the leave rather than staying and fixing what's broken. We fought, bled and died to fix our country. They can do the same.

Two, I want a level playing field. If I have to pay taxes, be hindered by legal paperwork, be forced to buy insurance, and contribute to the working poor in my country, then I want everyone to do the same. Zero tolerance on hiring illegal aliens. I mean jail time and massive fines for American offenders and immediate deportation and motherland jail time for the aliens.

Three, I want accountability. Let's get serious about i-9's and SSN's already. WTF! How in the world can someone duplicate a SSN and have it validated by an employer. That system is broken. We need to fix it. Also, I don't want to see another police cruiser pass a corner full of day laborers and do nothing. If it were a corner full of blacks, it would be on TV. Local governments have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to the problem. I want them held accountable.

Lastly for now, I want people to stop painting the issue as blue or red. It is indeed red white and blue. The issue of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION transcends political parties.

You don't have to file or "pay in" to pay taxes, it is taken from ever check, unless you are paid under the table. Many immigrants don't bother filing taxes, thus never get a return, thus pay in more than the normal percentage.

That is unless, as someone else pointed out already, they claim exempt or ten dependents or something like that. So, even if an illegal alien gets a check, there is the potential that they don't pay taxes.

I equate the fake SSN illegals paying taxes to a no smoking sign in jail. If you are in jail, it's because you didn't follow the rule of law on the outside, so why would you do so on the inside? If you are an illegal alien with a fake SSN, what's to stop you from claiming ten dependents or exempt? Answer: Nothing.

It's a federal crime to use some elses SS or falsify that information. For these suggest 7 million people...it would amount to never being able to get citizenship and you can't with a felony.

This just contributes to the indentification theft industry, which people woefully ignore.

d16boy, read and learn from ServerUnion. Your previous post showed that you have never worked and got a pay check and therefore don't know how taxes are collected. ;)

That is exactly the case, social security tax and Medicare tax are taken from pay check directly by the employers. Government collects $5,000,000,000 in Social security and $1,500,000,000 dollars every year from this bogus social security numbers. This is just the part that government already knows that the SSN are false.

Illegal immigrants also live in US and they buy food, rent houses, purchase car, buy toy for their children,.... Can you imagine the amount of tax that is collected by the state of California from the sales tax. ;)

But they work for Walmart which is a bigger employer than Microsoft. ;)

The irony of all this is that people hail on their contribution to medicare and ss. The system of SS and medicare are spiral south anyways (as early as 2012, I believe), so I could care less of their suggested contribution. Those systems will face their maker...and the sooner the better.

What I do care about is their neligible role in financing schools....one of the highest fiscall problems in this country. The average immigrants tends to have more children than the average American. In no sense are they paying for their children...through state taxes. Each child costs around 5-6k a year for education. Around 60-72k for all 12 years. State taxes are much smaller in percentages, but the average American's wages (over a lifetime) can cover those expenses. Being that most of these people will never see a higher rate of wages comparable to the average American citizen,...we're essentially subsidizing their education.

Poverty in America is something we should deal with first and foremost with our citizens. We can't save the world, and for every few million we take-in, there's another million produced. So the 'save the world' mentality by taking everyone in is silly. The world must change for the better on it's own accord or atleast by our influence.

It is not about what you think, it is about cold hard cash. have you ever heard this expression: Money talks, bullshit walks.

In light of the money that goes to government in both state and federal level and the amount of profit generated for the employers by the illegal immigrants, your opinion and others who don't like that Mexicans pee in the bushes doesn't really matter. ;)

In Malta, Illegal immigration is a big problem. However there is nothing much you can do except help the wars/poverty/corruption in African countries.

I keep hearing this millions collected for Social Security and taxes.

First, anyone who believe that the US Social Security administration, or the IRS knows what they are doing, let alone count to 10 (except when they want my money), is sadly mistaken.

Second, as I have stated before I believe from my experience with law enforcement, majority (+90%) of illegal imigrants do not even bother with SSN. It is all under the table cash. The owner makes out an expense receipt and gets deducted from taxes. I think I have explained it in my previous message.

It is an epidemic, no matter how one looks at it.

We need no new laws, no new regulations, no new organizations.

The enforcement of existing laws is the only requirement.

Yet, none of it is done. Republican or Democrat is irrelevant - they both lack the testicular fortutide to take the right steps.

Now everything is clear, I mean who needs numbers and statistics when you have "experience" with law enforcement and someone else saw a Mexican pee in the bushes? Let's get rid of all illegal immigrants so we won't waste your "experience" and save all the bushes that Mexicans are going to pee on.

Link us to your statistics. Let's all get on YOUR page. If you think that this just boils down to numbers, for the sake of the debate :) , I'm willing to play the game.

But, of course it does not just boil down to numbers. It is a principle and a paradigm thing to me. Personally, I don't give a red rat's ass what the stat's say, but I want to see your point before I throw it out the window :p

Also, can I advertise your bushes as a toilet? Just deposit a quarter on your way out - or better yet, just say gracias when leaving?

How about other principals like free economy, free competition, we are Americans and can do it better than others, let's the best man win and other blah, blah, blah?
Have you changed it to that we are pussies and can not work as hard as Mexicans and the government should protect us against the bad Mexicans who pee on our bushes? :D

All these are just words, in the end, every thing comes to the dollar and cents. I have already given you some numbers regarding the social security and Medicare tax. Now you can calculate yourself this part, so you won't imagine that it is just a made up number. How many immigrants do you have in California? let's call it X. How much do you think each one of these people spends on the purchase of products per month? Lets call it Y. What is the percentage for Sales tax? Let's call it Z. Now calculate the amount of sales tax paid by immigrants to the state of California per month which is X*Y*Z. This does not even include products with higher tax rates such as Alcohol, Tobacco and gasoline. ;)

On the tip of mind it's suggested they put in an estimated 6.4 billion (in 2002)...to SS. While on the other hand...

Meanwhile it's said that (in California):

So they're not quite allocating state-funds to support their families. While the Fed's might be getting a bit extra, the states are losing out.

Most of the finacial problems will be in...schools
    http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2004/12/06/news/top_stories/19_56_5812_5_04.txt

I saws numbers ranging from 6-7k (per child), but I'm guessing that's a while ago.

I believe it's just a lack of proper allocation. Instead of judicious seeking out the labor needs of America based on wage data (and numerous other methods), we seemly rely on broken system where those whom voluntarily break the law get here...and obviously it's most likely going to be the poorest.

It doesn't matter how outrageous fast wages/demand are rising in educated industies. The demands for doctors, nurses, aviators are constant...yet we're relying on an old paridgm of how our old economy use to work. What will happen when mechanization comes into play, and large groups of Americans and illegals are no-longer needed (in specific labor intensive industries)? These things can be aptly dealt with by the average waged citizen, but we're messing with fate by pilling the cards high and hoping that they all garner gold.

Poverty has a tendency to make bad politics. Did in the 60's and 30's, and I was hoping that would all go away.

Those are your principles. My principles are safety, fairness, and rule of law; i.e. anti chaos...oh and sanitation.

I can't think of a more aggressive country than the US right now, can you? I have already said I'd put troops on the border.

Oh, by pussies do you mean letting someone cheat the system and they try to compete with that? That's hardly a fair fight.

No. I vote for troops on the border. Let's just nip this thing in the bud. Take our troops off station as the world's police and put them on border patrol. If I ruled the US that is exactly what I'd do. Then I'd shoot you in the keister for calling me a pussy! :)

Yours are just words. I've taken action. I don't shop at Home Depot because they allow ILLEGALS to loiter and hire on. I refuse to allow any contractor to work for me with ILLEGALS. I hired a poolman and checked him out thoroughly. I complain to my local officials. I do all the community action items I can to stop the bait that keeps these parasites here.

Also, I've asked you for a link to your statistics to see where you are coming up with these hard numbers. Let's have it.

    X==I don't care.
    Y==Because they're not here legally
    Z==Zero tolerance
This does not boil down to numbers with me. That argument is wasted on me, so please let's debate something more valuable than stinky money. Let's debate why Mexico is broken and its people leave instead of fixing it. Let's debate why the US is expected to absorb these ILLEGALS just because they are having a hard time. Tough nuggies. Get a helmet!

Sounds good to me. I've a history in LE as well, and what he says is spot-on.

    Concierge, well-said Sir.

"gworld": "Let the best man win"? Please. That's MY line. ;)

When you take away their "protected" status and treat them like the common criminals they are, that's an easy one. I admire the work ethic of the immigrant worker. I do NOT admire the "free-for-all" mentality that's so prevalent among many border jumpers.

In that time, all of a sudden politicians discover that illegal Mexicans are really terrorists and therefore should be deported at once, so they pack them and send them back to Mexico. In the mean time, just get used to the fact that they are going to live in U.S. ;)
