I luv Kingbloom

I initially used the free submit for kingbloom back in December. I also listed my photo site on loads of other directories around the same time.

So far I have had plenty of hits direct from Kingbloom and zero from alive or aviva, so I have now taken out a Super Premium upgrade with KB.

Well done to Kingbloom! So why no hits from alive or aviva

 

if you want referrals, don't submit to directories, nobody looks for info in a directory and directories are not optimized to searchers, they are optimized to webmasters who will submit. a very very few directories generate targetted traffic (yahoo for instance or some niche directories) others may help in geting a link, beneficial or not, not that obvious.

 

I don't want to disencourage you. but probably they were not real hits.
It happened to me too. I thought I got many hits but when I check statcounter to analysis, no such reference. Looks like they are coming from validating links.

 

alive and aviva will provide a very strong backlink though. Muscle backlink ,Power back link, Monster back link call it what you will.

 

KingBloom.com is indeed a great directory to submit to. But I think the hits you get will be from a spider/bot, it uses a different software package.

 

ok thanks for the info - does this mean my super premium upgrade was a waste of money? It says I'll get a link from my title and keywords now, but this doesn't mean anything if we are purely talking about using it as a link to the site and not for hits?

 

It will appear at the top of your category. Using keywords in the link will help improve your search engine rankings.

Are you sure those are actual visitors and not from their bot?

Upgrading your listing may result in actual visitors...

 

I have had a few sites listed in KB, since 2004 or 2005 I believe, some of my sites, and some clients. I do know that KB gives you instant traffic and a lot of it is directly from SEs and targetted for keyterms related to sites listed.

 

Do you track conversions?; you are probably getting hits from internal bot looking for broken links.

 

I have had brand new sites from clients listed and did not even expect any traffic for them, or any business. And the moment KB listed me, my clients reported to me that there were leads for the services that their sites offered. So, since 2004, KB has been one of my top 5 directories to submit to, aside from YSM it is one of the best ways to get business to clients right away.

 

This is getting interesting...will check status of kingbloom!
