My Grandmother didn't smoke. She died at 96. Her sister didn't either and she lived to 101. Lived at home until 95, drove until 94. Now that's quality of life.

My father smoked. He died at 46. His brothers did too, none made it to 60.

For every person who lives to a great age and smoke there are so many more who die young, leaving young families without a loved parent.

The tobacco companies target "the dumb, the black, the ignorant and the poor." [source on my blog]
Do you really want to give your hard earned dosh to companies like that?

Do you think there is a relation on how longer you will live and how many cigarettes you smoke / day . Like if someone smoke 5 / day and another 50 / day .. will the one smoking 5/day have the same disease like the one smoking 50 ?

I had a few cigarettes the other night while I was at the bar. Holy crap if that doesn't get me to stop nothing will.

I had the worse pain in my stomach. I still have it.

Not only is it horrible for your health, but it stinks too. I actually don't smoke often. If I'm having a bad day I might have one (which is stupid - I might as well not do it at all).

But I hate it when people come over and they reek like stale cigarette smoke, or you go to someone's house and come back reeking yourself.

I smoke and a lot of my friends are trying to quit. It sucks because when they drink I become a cigarette dispenser.

I smoked from early childhood - like 8 yrs. old. I had quit numerous times. The last time before now was for 5 years. I'm in my late thirties now...yuck.

You have to quit because you want to quit, not because anyone wants you to. BUT, sometimes you need a kick in the rickies to focus :)

Here are the chief reasons I'm quitting for good:

First, here's my brother after a radical cancer surgery on his neck. They took out all lymph nodes, his jugular vein and a nerve that controls his arm. That just sucks, eh. But it won't happen to you, right? I stop captain invincible teenagers on the street and stuff this picture in their faces. I wait for it to sink in. It usually takes half a grit...

    Second, my son.

Finally, my wife. You see how adorable my kid is? Imagine the woman who made him :D.

I think better when i smoke, just my opinion, but i do think fine when I am not, and no I do not smoke to think better than I already do, I am quiting because of the health risks.
But after drinking I see that almost everyone smokes

Who lets an 8 year old smoke? What kind of monsters were your parents?

And don't tell me you did it behind their backs. there's no way a competent parent would not know that their 8 year old was smoking!
