Is this because of the on going update? Or is there any other explanation to this abnormality? http://www.iwebtool.com/visual/?domain=probargainhunter.com&nofw=1&ex=1
I had the same problem, PR1 in home as before, PR4 for inner pages. I'm going to get more backlinks and wait until next update.
I have a site who's main page has been a PR1 for a long time, but an inner page that isn't linked on any page and has no backlinks, got a PR 2. Very strange.
Page rank update has been updated and I think these kind of problems are due to some weird Google PR algorithim
i think update is not finished yet. Because my some high quality sites have pr0 homepage and subpages so im waiting it.
A handful of my backpages are PR1 (from 0) my main index & my forum index are both PR0. My online.php (which was blocked by robots.txt, and unviewable by guests) is a PR2 (from 0). I highly doubt that people are linking to my Privacy Policy over my main Index...and I'd wager the only people linking to my online page is me... While I'm pretty new to all this PR stuff, I'm thinking there are strange winds blowing within the Google Machine. Q
I got PR higher on sub pages, but not on the index pages. There was a very weird update! Google is trying to confuse us!
My guess is that the update started and they ran into problems as per usual and the update has stopped at a given point until the problem is fixed. Col
I think CheapSeoServices is right... I mean, does google really want all the pages with no backlinks to have a higher PR than those which do? (thats what has happened for me) Also, if you check that google webmaster tool thing, it should give you an indication as to your PR
Yeah, my web master tool thingie from google says that my index is the highest...it's my toolbar that must be confused. Which of course confuses me (being new to actually caring about any of this). I do think skionxb may be on to something though, as I know if I was in charge of google, I'd be mixing things up now and again (because I can). Though Cheap SEO Services is likely the one on the right track. Q
And if you think about it - how can a page with no backlinks other than from the homepage have higher PR than the homepage? The PR of any page is derived only from the PR of pages linking to it.
I have to admit I think something is going on today. No idea what, but something. My indexed pages have just dramatically dropped from over 500 to like 30. It wasn't like that this morning. Google is also not showing any backlinks for me right now, where I did have some earlier today. Usually my backlinks zero out before they update the number, so who knows!
