How can I disconnect broadband?

    How can I disconnect the broadband on my internet?

    I trid opening network connections and right clicking on the "connected" network in the hope to get a "disconnect" option but ther isn't any.

    Yeah, I have had this problem with my laptop trying to connect to other wi fi networks, just temporarily disable for wi fi card, and then enable it. It works for me :D

    Just unplug the modem or router. Presto, no internet.

    That is what you want? I wasn't trying to be funny.

    I would say enable/disable should work.

    I guess it all depends to what end you need to do it.

    My LT used to crap out, loose the IP address sometimes (W2K). I'[d have to reboot.

    Then there was the time the connection itself across the network sucked it....turns out the modem was on the fritz.
