Why do I have so many backlinks?!?

    When I check the backlinks for my sites, which are relatively new, I have a few dozen in Yahoo!, Google, etc.

    But I also see a report for Wisenut, which I've never heard of.

    And in Wisenut I'll have like 200-1000 backlinks for the same domain! :confused:

    What gives?

    Probably domain owned by you previously was an expired domain of another owner with some content on the past

    What is wrong with having a ton of backlinks? I thought that was a good thing?

    Yes, its good thing to have backlinks, but just when your website is relative to those backlinks..

    Maybe, but the extension is .cc so I doubt it.

    I'm not saying backlinks are bad. I'm just wondering about this Wisenut SE. I have never heard of it and I don't know if anyone uses it.

    If its useless (like 7search for example) then I'll discount the good number of backlinks.

    Never heard of em myself. Could be they're indexing all of your internal links as backlinks...

    its probably a spam SE, where they take random sites and use their content and backlink it
