Suggestions needed

I have 2 websites

http://www.hosieryandmore.com

When I search my site http://www.hosieryandmore.com in google it tells me that no search results found whereas when I search
www.hosieryandmore.com I do get some results in google.

Wanted to know why two results? and is my site indexed in google or not?

Search queries that include the http:// aren't actually valid. Stick with www.hosieryandmore.com, or better still search for site:www.hosieryandmore.com to see how many pages from your site are in the Google index.

That means that my site is indexed in google.

But why is it in the 3rd spot?

Your site is already indexed. Just type on google site:www.yourdomainname.com

 

There are a few reasons why this could be, those ahead of you may have better content, links, they may have a forum. Anything could be the reason. Not that it matters much, as nobody will go to a SE and type in a domain name to find someone. They type in a keyword related to your business type. That is where you want to be listed.

 

Don't worry about it too much... how many customers are really going to be searching for you using your full URL in Google search?
