Do you believe the general media reports are:

    1. Liberal
    2. Conservative
    3. A little bit of both
    4. They don't take a stance.

    and why?

I believe people watch and read what they want. Some turn to conservative pieces, some turn to liberal pieces, and ultimately in a free market, nobody is stopping anybody from reporting anything anyway they want, except the viewers.

Calling the media 'unfair' is a slap in the face to American ideals, and the ideals of every other free republic.

The problem is so many don't 'report' the news - they make it. They edit things to make it sound the way the "reporter" wants it to.

You mean they edit it the way the "viewer" wants it to sound, right?

Lets not forget it's not the media's responsibility to report anything neutrally. Their job, like any other, is to be successful. It's the responsibility of the audience to decide what they are going to receive. If we choose C-Span coverage ahead of the smut cable news networks, it would be the dominant network.

I believe the media is overall a lot more liberal than conservative. Libs come up with the wildest things, and that´s what generates good ratings. :)

I believe it is the responsibility for the news media to tell the truth and to stay neutral - not all shows, but when "reporting" it should be. The other shows they have are opinion or discussion based, they can do what they want.

If I turn on my local channel I expect them to say 5 cars in an accident on I-5 not something with a biased twist like "SUV causes multi-car accident" and then go off on how SUV keep causing road problems. (If you missed my point look at cnn or foxnews and search for SUV somehow SUV's have their own mind and drive themselves causing havoc around the whole USA)
