When will the page rank update happen? Is there a schedule that Google follows to do it eg. quarterly? I read on here somewhere that an update was in progress. Is that correct?

Wow... I used to ask this question too until I learned how meaningless the PR in the toolbar really is. Its cool for benchmarking progress and pride, but as a measure for generating revenue it is useless. Toolbar PR was updated over the past couple weeks. Search DP for the thread. I think it was like 20 pages long.

there is no a schedule. It's every 70 - 120 days. Some people say it happened already but who knows. Just work on your sites and wait.

PageRank updates happen all the time. What you see every 3-4 months is a "pagerank export" which just gives you a rough guide to what Google thinks. As others have said, it's not really important though. Don't make the mistake of a lot of people that are new to SEO and get obsessed with the Toolbar PR.

usually there is atleast 2-3 months gap between each update but it is no thumbrule. When google wants it updates it..

Google is tired after updating PR of k x k x k x k x k x k x k sites. He will take some rest (atleast 3/4 months) and then again do his work.

Is it? I see a lot of the DCs still displaying old values. Maybe these are just very old infrastructure.

Have you been living in a cave? The talk around here has been of little else in '07....there's been a 'partial' update - where that leaves us we'll just have to wait and see:confused:
