I want to make a blog post about a certain company, but I MUST use their logo for the post to make sense. If I hotlink the logo from their site, would this be acceptable? As long as it's not on my server?

Can I display their logo on my site period?

Yes you can display their logo, and yes you should put it on your site. Legally, it's fine, and hotlinking in general is never a good idea.

MrX is right. My review site I have tons of logos of other companies; I never have worried.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if it was lawful to have a trademarked/copyrighted image on my server which is why I wanted to hotlink it. Thanks alot :D

If you're talking about the logo itself (which would be the only reason I would see that you would have to display it for the article to make sense) then it would most likely fall under fair use and you'd be ok.
