oh man you should have submitted to gaming sites like http://www.gamesforum.ca/ , can get you a link there for 10$ per month.

Or some other gaming sites, i do not think directory is close to what you are aiming for.

That depends on many factors such as the age of your website, onpage seo and backlinks . Older website, lots of backlinks and optimized pages have more chances.

For the links you bought in particular, it will help you but not instantly. You might get somewhere in MSN search engine but for Yahoo and Google, you will have to wait at least few weeks. Plus the competition in web hosting is very high, it always has been.
