You can try to filter out low paying ads. www.adsblacklist.com has a list that you can add to your adsense account as competitive filter ads.

Yahoo plays 10 times better then adsense... but I get 10 times more clicks with adsense because ads are better targeted and more people are advertising on adsense..

I just wish I had higher paying ads and I would be a happy camper.. not this 3cents crap.. :-(

1c still seems ridiculously low. I'd consider looking at other advertising places for revenue!

You might want to consider switching to another network for a week to do some testing. For example, you can try AdBrite. The ads will not be as well targeted because they have a smaller inventory compared to Google but I think the minimum cost pet click is set to 0.05 so it never goes less than that. In fact, I have never received less than 0.08 cents for AdBrite clicks. Considering that video sites are hard for AdSense to display relevant ads since they don't analyze the content of video and there is hardly any text around to help switching to another network such as AdBrite might be a good idea. At the end of the day, test, test and then test again is the best advice anyone can give you :)

You could also check the link in my sig. If you do sign up, ask to have Tyler Hoelting as your account manager in the comments section. He has AIM and helps you with many suggestions. Just a thought as I have made out good with them so far.

I was in your position, about 2-3 cent a click, then I launch a new site. same visitors location, same type of ads content but got around 20 cent++
1 month later, it dropped to about 3 cent a click, but a few day later it returned to 20 cent

If you're running video site. I highly suggest CPM ads. I was own one site with 1000 visitors, 25000 impression daily but made only $3/day with adsense, here are the list.
Tribalfusion.com , at least 2000 visitors per day
CPX Interactive, at least 30000 Impression a month, 50%++ U.S. Traffic
Casale Media, Advertising.com, Bannerconnect, Doubleclick and many site!
otherwise you can try Adbrite Banner ads

Use adlogger & ad filter. It should help you.
adlogger will show you where's your visitor come from and how many click they do.
ad filter help you to filter out the MFA site that will pay you very less.

    Hope it help.

That doesn't sound like it will make much sense financially in the long run. Your best ad option will be to get your own advertiser base - with no middle man you will make the most money.

You can try running CJ, but it will be a lot of work to keep relevant ads on all the videos, but if you categorize many of them, it could work.

There's also CPM programs out there, but especially with CPM you will be better off with your own advertiser base.

Good textual context for the videos will help you out too.

Personally, I'd go ad-free for a period of time to help increase the user base and while doing that I'd research different avenues for ad revenue. You might find some decent advertisers here at DP, or you could find that your site's visitors fit a great demographic for a few products and you want to contact some vendors directly.

You could also talk to some of your visitors and find what kind of products they are interested in - it may turn out that a weekly product comparison combined with CJ is your best return.

Describe what is happening in the video using words. This way you will get higher priced ads.
