I used to own a few Mostly forums and i made some $$ with clicksor while having those forums I also owned a few tpg's but i quit that business a while back because I just dont have time for adult sites, that and the fact of when you add content to the site your just basically watching porn and i cant work with an erection all day lol.
lol yea I'm sure adult sites make a lot of money, because most you have to go through a lot of crap just to get access to certain areas, but if you think it out right, you could probably get a lot of profit out of it. Also if you need a good host, talk to me bud, hosting that material is A OK !
Cool .. I always thought there was big money to be made in adult websites .. I mean, when I see a hot picture, there's no way in the world I won't click on it. And I'm sure some affiliate programs allow webmasters to earn by clicks so that'll be totally awesome ..
I also use to own and operate a few p rn sites and you can make money from them if you drive targetted traffic to them. There are 4 things with these sites that I didn't like: you have to be really carefull with the laws that apply to you and your business (and that's what it is), you have to drive a huge amount of targetted traffic to the site(s) because so much of it on the net is "free" that buyers are less likely to want to pay for it, and I couldn't work on the sites with family and friends around and, to me at least, life isn't a spectator sport.
What does clicksor offer? Do these sites make more compared to non/adult sites who have adsense for example (considering everything else consant)
Adult sites are also profitable . The money from affliate progs / pop unders .. but you need to have high traffic
Well clicksor doesnt offer anything special, but it does have adult ads, and you cant use adsense for adult sites so i choose clicksor.
Damn I'm a lil tempted to set up a adult website after hearing all the comments. Has anyone ever used Thumblogger?
well as you know. Adult webmasters make 10timse more than mainstream webmasters as a whole. As in, more people in adult make more than most in mainstream. there are a few mainstreamers that make a lot though. I have about 30 adult blogs and am making mid $XXX,XXX a year. As for making money. Most webmasters just sell memeberships to adult websites. Pretty much the same as any affiliate website. Also the adult biz generates more revenue than all mainstream programs put together. Also a cool fact, The adult industry generates over $57 BILLLION a year.
THanks for the input horvath. Do you know any forums or websites that offer help to newbie adult webmasters?
It's easy to get traffic to porn sites, but converting is a different story. People want things for free, and a lot of the time they won't want to pay for something they can get for free elsewhere. You also have to remember that once they blow their load, they will no longer be interested in any sort of memberships you are offering them. You need a lot and lot of traffic, you need to spend a lot of time, and preferably have targetted traffic. Getting a good niche is worth it. Running TPG's is a pain in the ass, blogs may be worth the effort for some. I couldn't be bothered putting more time, even though I know there could be some rewards for me at the end of the tunnel.
