How come the bids rose once in a sudden?

Hello,

I have recently launced a campaign on adwords. I used to bid between 0.06-0.12 cents on the keywords. Once in a sudden all my keywords for search stopped running and adwords said that i need to raise the bid on the keywords somewhere between 0.5$ and 5$ per click!!! Yet, I can still c my competitors ads running! and there is no way any1 of them is paying 5$ on the keyword in the this niche!
What are the possible factors that play a part here and how can i return the min bid into normal!!

google re-assessed your landing page and/or statistics and adjusted your required minimum bid levels. are you sending click to an affiliate page or your own?

 

No am sending clicks to an affiliate page....

 

You should create a landing page then.

 

I did that and pointed adwords at it for 2 months and got 1 sale. I gave up.

Well, all I can say is you definitely were doing something wrong. (=

It can be a poor landing page, bad product, bad ads etc.
