I have one question : How can we index site on google after building a site on some PR domain ?? I have started a site with PR3 domain before one month, bought some relevant high PR links , but still not indexed on google ?? (even though link:www.domain.com shows increment during this PR update and PR remain 3 also - Means its not banned from google )
Not even a single page has been indexed. ( but I never submitted my site in google for that - Is it necessary?) So I am afraid of buying a PR domain and building a site on it
what backlinks does yahoo show? If google has backlinks indexed then it will eventually crawl. If there was static content on there that never changed previously, then Google will set its spider to call every couple of months. Once it comes back and ses new content it will come back again pretty quickly. That is how the search engines make best use of their spider resources.
Have you reg. expired domain which was having PR ???? If yes then it will take much time for site getting index and also it will take much much time for to get that site rank well in search engines. (I am sharing my experience so it might be some thing diff. for you.)
Exactly - I registered an expired domain with PR3 I bought many high PR relevant oneway links.. Its 1 month now Previous link:www.domain.com showed only 5 backlinks and now its showing 23 backlinks.. Does this mean they are updating my backlinks without indexing - strange
Please clarify -If you bought pr3 domain or -if you bought a link from pr3 site? or both of above. Furhter, can you post your url here? have you checked it for being blacklisted?do you have google sitemap setup for that?
Hey dude, What do you think of this site? (PR4 and you can see some results when you use the link command)It around 6 months but not indexed.Never!
OK here the url www.blogconfuso.com Yes both .. I bought PR3 expired domain and bought one way links like PR4, PR5 and so.. No not submitted
The domain name has a PageRank value of 3. The domain name DOES NOT appear to be banned. You should keep geting links and submit your site to google. I think than when you bough the PR3 domain, google have un indexed it after the domain owner changed on the WHOIS.
Does this mean google looks over domain WHOIS - what about sites with private whois? I think the domain/site was was unindexed even before buying it.
I too feel something is strange about the domain. I checked it with the way back machine and it seems that nothing was on the site after Feb 09, 2006. Didn't looked further but maybe someone more familiar with the way back machine will look deeper. Also, back then, it was a one page italian site with some text and a link, some kind of redirect but don't think it got banned for it.
Try to get inbound links for the home page (i.e. from directories) and for the rest of the site from link exchange partners or business listings that allow deep links. Anyhow, it is necessary to maintain a good link building campaign in order to not only get indexed but also achieve performance in the SERPs. Regards
There is a hole that pre-owned domains can fall into. Not all but some can not be helped by any number of links etc I have talked before of a site www.france-renovation.com - it took 6 months to be indexed at all (despite reinclusion requests etc), and 8 months after that all pages (except the index) are still supplemental and google has never once sent a visitor to the site. About 450 links according to MSN - I can get new sites indexed quickly with only 3 or 4 links so this is not an issue of links. All original content etc etc Google stopped answering my questions, kept telling me to look at the webmaster guidelines etc, but I am completely convinced that sometimes something goes wrong in their formula and they simply don't index/record a pre-owned lapsed domain name site properly.
I have bought a PR4 - 3 year old domain recently. I hope this will not happen to me. Do you have any other comments and thoughts about best practices?
Sorry I am not sure what you mean, there are lots of pages indexed http://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...006-10,GGLJ:en&q=site:www.directoryforyou.com
