I just read that AdSense has changed their policy. Now you can no longer have AdSense ads and YPN ads that look alike on the same site. http://www.jensense.com/archives/2007/01/adsense_competi_1.html
Yeah, those greedy b**tards aren't playing nice anymore, I think they smell blood with YPN doing so poorly. That brings no-compete to a new level.
The only consolation I get is that the class action anti-trust lawyers are licking their chops right about now...although I am sure Google's actuaries have factored that into the bottom-line.
This is not true, read her latest blog post...In fact google is allowing you to have any other contextual ad on your site along with theirs. AS LONG AS THEY DON'T LOOK THE SAME. Yahoo doesn't allow you to though...So it seems google is the one becoming nicer and ypn isn't
I get the feeling that even though YPN isnt very good at the moment, Google is anticipating that it will eventually stomp adsense in the US market (but probably not globally).... Especially since Google is turning into a ban-happy web Nazi.
For some markets, YPN beats AdSense hands down. I guess advertisers find better returns with Yahoo that they can afford to pay more for their clicks. Do your research!
Wasn't necessarily talking to you, was talking more to the two that posted after you. Also, since when could you have both ads on your site at one time even if they looked differently? Never...but now Google is allowing it as long as they don't look alike. People keep referring this to a rotation and it has nothing to do with rotation of ads. Its talking about actually having them both on the same site at the same time.
Is GEO targeting allowed? Are permitted to show YPN ads to some users and Adsense ads to other users?
