I hope I'm posting in the right category. Hello everyone, I have a blog and a few directories where I've made about 5k with Google adsense in 2006. Now, I've never owned a business and I want to know if I should register this as a business in my state.
I would hire a lawyer and accountant and ask them. Are the websites your main source of income? Are there any potential legal problems (usually as yes)?
If you are subject to US income tax you are a business by virture of your earnings. You will discover that when you do your taxes. You may also need to pay state taxes on that income. Whether a local business license is required or not depends on your local regulations. The feds don't care as long as you pay your taxes. My state does not require a license. The local leeches do.
People do fake that stuff. And then maybe they have states in Hati. Never been there so I don't know for sure.
Yes they do have states in Haiti. I'm currently living in the Florida, USA. I will change my location now. Sorry for the confusion
