    First hello,

I am converting one of my forums form Phpbb to Vbulletin and I am worried about Google. Forum has around 15000 pages indexed in Google and the trouble is to find best way to convert to Vbulletin without losing great serp and indexed pages.

How this should be done properly? What directory should I install it? Same with redirect or...

Seriously if you are that well indexed, I wouldn't try and fix what's not broken.

It should be very easy to just do proper redirects for the indexed pages. PM me for details. :)

The forum systems are already pretty decent at SEO in general. I say if it can be improved then go for it!

If the site was well index then changing the domain name is a blunder,

my old domain was actually very good indexed, but the name was not appropriate for what i was trying to do with the website (the expansion)...

But 301 redirect should decrease any possible problems..

I still must insist that ever using a diff domain is a bad idea, you can make virtually any domain name work for your site.
