Why not just ask Shawn to do an IP block on those countries you consider unworthy? Might as well list them here.
Which country they're "from" or which country they're "in" as these are frequently different. Past experience with people using the ignore list is that threads become disjointed when the posts are hidden and you end up having to view them to see what's going on. Sure you'd miss entire threads but ... I reckon MrPoloShirt you just need to relax and count your lucky stars that you've had the opportunities you've had and pay it forward.
That's not what he ask for.. let say you don't like Chinese food, do you torn down every single Chinese restaurant? No, you just don't eat there. So Mr. Poloshirt thinks people from certain country are wasting his time. He don't not to read their post for his personal reason. It is his "own choice" that won't affect others and he didn't ask you to ban a country because their people suck... and he found out there is no way to tell because the location function is next to useless and he want to see if DP can help..
Yes, it's his choice so he gets to implement it. Not something we would want to enforce upon others to enable it for him. Fancy asking 50K members where they live just so one or two can have it their way. That's not how community spirit works. If he's that concerned about it, he can write some kind of greasemonkey script that checks the post against a dictionary and then decides whether or not to display it (fixed up or not). That wya he gets the hassle of coding and not Shawn or the members having to fill out their private details.
The fact that there are people from all over the world with all degrees of skills and experience is what keeps me coming back to DP...plus it gives me access to some great low-cost services provided by people in countries where the £/$ goes further or who are looking to build their experience (i.e. noobs)...

Bhuhahhahahah This is what i thought last night Where is this world heading to ? Well here is a better suggestion that is not controversial. Add filters and you can put words in those filters to avoid posts containing those words. If that is what your actual problem is you can put something like "How do i make money online" "I am banned from adsense" "Why did i get infraction" in those filters and it will take care of it but if you ask me that is stupid. Hell of a stupid idea anyway lol
