100% agreed. It should be considered as side income (extra money). I think one should not even think so deep about adsense and its income. Just put here and there on site...and let it go as the way it is going. Put your whole energy and skills on other things.
I gave up work. But after 6 months i was sick of sitting in front of my PC. So i got another job and now do both. I could maybe earn more if i spent all day on IM activities. But at the moment i have 2 lots of income and a good day job that gets me off the PC and into the real world.
It's been about 5 months now since I quit my job and now work from home. I have never looked back. I am thoroughly enjoying the freedom I never thought I could possibly have. Col
Depends on how much you're making? and what kind of lifestyle you live. I quit my day job when i reached $5k per month from adsense.
Although I am highly in favour of having a job while soing the Internet business, I don't think you can look at it from the amount you make in an hour basis because, lets face it, internet business provide the potential of tremendeos growth. We have already had recently examples of people that were struggling to earn $10 a day but now earning $200-300 a day. Of course, there are some earning a lot higer.
Do what I do. Try living exclusively off your web income and investing your entire day job paychecks in high yield savings accounts like ING or HSBC. Do this for 6 months. If you can survive and all your bills are paid on time you can quit your day job and have a 6 month emergency fund saved up to live off of in case you ever need to go job hunting again. Also, diversify your income streams....
Um, no, if you think you have to ask us if you should quit, instead of asking your wallet, no you shouldn't. You're obviously not ready if you think we know more about your wallet than you do!!!
I quit my day job 2 months ago to invest my time in creating my own project. But I have a person who is ready to support me for some time.
It depends in your day time job other than your work you meet a lot of people sso you don't feel bored. But if you keep working infront of ur monitor on and on you will one day feel, I wish I had the job.
I think that everyone should quit their day job as soon as they get accepted by AdSense. Then tell me where they worked.
their are 2 sides to this a) Stay at your job and earn online -pros: More income, More things you can buy -cons: You actually have to work on both b)Quit your job, live of adsense -pros: Wake up, turn on your pc and work on your sites, sick days whenever you want, be your own boss, have fun -cons: mabe you will get banned, earnings may drop yea you will just end up like some users on here (nintendo) haha Those are my 2 cents redz
That sounds way too risky. I think having a job keeps you sane, especially if the online earnings do not amount too much.
I make more online than I do on my day job. And it increases every month. Most successful bsuinesses started with some risk. If not everyone would be doing it... When all is said and done by september I will have been living off my web income alone for a full year with a full year day job salary saved and accruing interest... I will also be personal debt free by then.
ask your employer if you can work part time. work 30 hours a week or something. That way if something happens you may be able to beg for full time again... if your boss likes you!
I also recommend having atleast 1 other source of income, depnding on how much you are making at adsense. Or atleast have a YPN account as a PLAN B if something were to happen. I left my corporate job over 2 years ago and love life. Although I seem to work longer hours and not vacation as much, it is maily becasue I have been getting some projects off the ground... I figure another year or 2 and I shouldn't have to work as much... Working for someone else especially at the staff level is too much.. fighting traffic, low wage, stress, etc. Why bother if you are an online guru... good Luck!
