I have to work out like crazy to get my metabolism up. That's also why I break down my workouts to try to keep it steady... stretching and toning (could be weights, bands, or whatever) in the morning to help jumpstart it, a longer cardio session later on, and then yoga or more cardio at night depending on the time. That's just what's worked best for me, and since I slacked during the whole holiday period, I'm trying to get re-adapted to that again. Just work as much as you can comfortably do into your schedule, and you'll probably start to see some changes... everyone wishes there were just some magic diet, so they don't need to workout. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen. And working out can really be fun anyway, and you'll actually start to crave it, if you pick something you'll like and not get too bored with and give it a few weeks so your body comes to expect it. Wow... that's a late workout drew. You're absolutely right though about some people putting on weight when they eat less - some go so low they make their body think they're starving, and that's when you start storing fat b/c your body doesn't know when you'll feed it again. So there's no reason to go super-low-cal in most cases, meaning you can definitely still have some room to simply enjoy food.
Iam 100 KGs, Diets never work, I had one friend mail me on something called GM diet, But believe it or not, After following it, i reduced like 8 KGS in one month After that, i started eating again and now iam at 100, But my height is 6 foot 3 inches, So i dont look bad
What you're describing is more a life style change, a diet is almost always a short term solution that back fires.
i used to be very fat, 200lbs now im weight 170lbs.. enroll in muay thai class im sure your fats will be burned... HEALTHY SEX life, RIGHT Food and Exercise will make your fats go away...
A friend of mine summed it up well. He said that his problem was "underactive thyroid and overactive fork".
Whoever said the muay thai thing, very good as well. If you can find some type of exercise within a group (martial arts, yoga etc) you will be set. I have taken shotokahn style martial arts, and part of my exercise routine includes doing some kata's and just a general series of punches/kicks. When punches/kicks are done correctly, they will more then where one out even if conditioned to do them.
