    Yup it's a NoOB question, but I've been experimenting with SEO and trying to improve my pages. How can I tell if it's been effective?
    I suppose I'd like someone to evaluate my site for SE friendliness?

    It's pretty easy really. Start tracking the terms your targeting in the rankings. They go up - it's working

    What exactly did U do so far? The TITLE tag isn't targeted nor is there a MetaDescrition (not a major problem)

    you could learn more by searching for wordpress seo, first thing i would try and optimise is your title.

    for my wordpress sites i use;

    <head><title>Keyword 1 &raquo; <?php if(is_home()) { echo 'Keyword 2 | Keyword 3'; } else { wp_title('') ;} ?></title

    you could also include some of your keywords within some of the post titles (since they are made of h2 tags)

    but by looking at your site i cant seem to see what your main keywords are (or if you even have any?)

    First step -- add a title to your page and some description meta tag

    Try using Google Analytics. A very good tool to track your traffic, URLs, pages, and other things to optimize your site. ;)

    I would suggest you to analyze your log and see which keywords are bringing you traffic, than analyze on which rank are you appearing for that keyword, if that rank is not good and still bring some little traffic optimizing that keyword might help you.

    Good luck

    Easy way would be to wait a few weeks and see if your SERP improves ;)

    Hi,
    No offense, but it's true, unless G penalizes the others obove you.

    Also, sometimes the competition (above you) optimize their sites too. Also in this case you don't get better results.

    Anyway, good luck!

    - Put your main keyword in title tag
    - Externalize Javascripts for spiderability

    Ok, I've read through this thread again cos I'm still struggling, and I guess this question may sound stupid, but can you please give me an example of how to create a targeted TITLE tag?
