Should reality shows be stopped?

Untill & unless these reality shows are strictly of entertaining nature they are acceptable & watchable. Once they start abusing others using abusive language or start adversely affecting children & society they should be stopped immediately. Like "Big Brother"...what do you think people.

People get what they demand. If the shows are watched they will continue.

From what I have seen, there is only one reality show and that is The Contender. These guys really train, really fight and have real families counting on them. The rest are worthless soap operas.

Wouldn't it be easier to turn it off then try and get it shut off?

Unfortunatly, there are enough morons to support it, so it will stay.

/me checks to see of American Idol is on. :p

Not all reality are evil & the only thing we are trying to tell is why the question of racism aroused on an Indian. Everybody knows India is upcoming economy and we are as modern and educated as developed countries.

In Italy reality shows are very popular...but i don't like them!!

For me reality shows are false and they not teach the education.

Tonight in Italy starts "Big Brother 7" ...

forumbabz: As a person who watches Italian TV, yes there are a lot of reality shows.

Banning them is not the solution. Telling people and making contestants accountable for their actions yes.

Reality shows should be strictly based on entertaining content and not on the scripts or matter that adversely affects other people knowingly or unknowingly.

reality tv show is ok with me... As long as it helps people become a better and responsible person... And as long as it helps the contestants' economic status improve and as well in their personality development... Coz in other countries, reality tv shows really helps a lot...:)

I am not saying that the show should be stopped, only its content and script should be monitered more strictly and responsibly.

Even though we want to, If people still continues to watch it and the show get sponsors, I don't think the show would stop. If I'm a producer of a certain reality tv show and I earn a lot don't you think I'll do everything to keep the show running? If nobody supports this show I believe they won't be airing it no more. But since we are out numbered by Reality TV fans, how can we prevent it from being viewed.

I bet Big Brother cannot beleive the publicity they have got recently. This is the kind of thing they want to boost their ratings. They will probably make millions from the phone votes because of all this publicity. All these people making a fuss are just playing into the tv show makers hands.

The public want it, cos its easy to watch, the tv companies want it cos theres big profits.

I think reality shows will get bigger and bigger for then next few years, and a development process will eventually make them into somethoing else.

Reality shows are the bane of human civilization. Global warming holds nothing to the boatloads of absolute tripe spilled weekly on these shows.

Oh - sorry - gotta go, "The Apprentice: L.A." preview is up.:D
