Charge laptop battery without a charger

This is a very odd question I know but it's important to my unique situation.

Is there any way of charging up a laptop battery without a charger?

Is there some weird thing you can do, like leave it on a radiator or something. I need enough power to start it up for a few moments.

 

I guess you could cut a wire and stick one end in the power source and the other end in the laptop....although I highly discourage you to do this. As far as I know there's no other viable method of charging a battery other than using a battery charger

I used to try this method for alkaline batteries and it was little successful too but this has never worked for rechargeable Ni-MH or Li-ion batteries.

 

Maybe another battery (or batteries) but if it works it would be better to connect this other battery (batteries) straight to the laptop.

 

here is the best way to go bud

stick your battery in the microwave, and set it for 1 minute, take it out really fast, and let it cool. the energy from the microwave will go into the battery, and then it will be charged again.

Note, this theroy has not been tested, TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I thought the microwave one was stupid but I tried the boiling water and the battery still doesn't work.

 

mark u silly yo. man i really don't think there is no other method, well there is, but i don't think with your common knowledge or most ppl here including me, is willing to do some real high tech experiment to get it charged. So just spend a few bucks or whatever and get a charger for it mate.

Or, continue to try the MYTH BUSTERS method haha

You want to put METAL in a MICROWAVE? Don't procreate. But then again, you'd probably wipe yourself out soon either way.

 

Yes if you leave it on the radiator it will get some power. DO NOT put the battery in the laptop if the battery is hot (which will be after you take it off). Let it cool off then put it in it should hold for 10 min. I tried it once and it worked.

Hook it up to another battery of the same voltage for a while. Connect + to + and - to -.

Of course with no regulator, it could get hot and or explode as is the case in all charging.

Everything else mentioned here is bunk.

You can add some charge if you have an equal or lesser voltage battery and attach them for a few minutes, you would have to do this like you would jump a car battery.

One time I had to jump a car using just a 12 g wire to connect the positives and touching the 2 cars bumper to bumper (old cars with metal bumpers) I got my VW bus started that way - took about 5 minutes to get enough charge.
