Domain.us or Domain.net

I will buy a domain name,what is prefered? .us or .net
for targeted keyword,I will make it the domain name,the title and heading 1 at the top of the page,is this ok?

 

I personally would go with .net unless you have an "american" site. I personally feel search engines favor .com,.net,.edu,.org a bit more then other domain extensions.

 

It's been clearly stated that the extension doesn't matter to search engines. But what does matter is whether or not someone is likely to visit your site.

I will, more often than not, visit a site with a .com .net or .org rather than a .us or such.

 

Eh, I dunno. I have my own opinion.

Lol, you'd be surprised how much traffic Yahoo! can bring. I personally haven't had any success with MSN or Ask yet tho.

I would go with the .net because of the SEO and because sounds better the .us

.com, .net, .org, . info
all are the same, nothing changes in the eyes of google.
SEO isn't any better for a .com then it is for a .us.. I've had great success with both url's, Trust me, it makes no difference.

I would go with the .net just because it's more common
