Really, it's already 2 weeks I didn't check it. Will go and check it, if it's working, will submit my website there.
just checked today and my site has been added to DMOZ - what a great day!!! Must have happened recently because Google's cache of the page for January 9th 2007 doesn't have my link on it. Yay!! Good luck to everyone else with their DMOZ submissions! Hope my good news also gives you all a little encouragement.
Yeah... I just submitted my site a few days ago. But don't expect too much. Accepting submissions does not mean the reviewing of submissions are going to speed up.
no update for me.. i have submitted my site a couple of days ago when dmoz was start accepting submission.. still none of my site is approved
DMOZ is back accepting submissions but they have not got their act together. An editor told me they have lost all editors note for a few months back and some submissions in the queue before they had their difficulties was also lost.
You could submit the bird site for sure. The cat site has a lot of advertising, maybe too much for it to be accepted. Don't submit http://www.dogpixandflix.com/blogspot.com until you get it working, it's giving a 404 error right now.
What's the excuse for a legit web design business, with no advertising on it, not being listed? There's no excuse.
Without knowing which site you're talking about I can only guess the excuse is that it hasn't been reviewed yet. There are a lot more legitimate websites than editors, so we can't possibly see them all. Personally, I've listed a lot of web design businesses but I can guarantee you it's just a drop in the bucket.
I don't know about you but for the last 5 years I've been trying to get my sites in the DMOZ but never with success... This project is DEAD long time ago .. thou it depends on what category you're trying to get yourself in. I've been submitting wrestling websites for the better part of the decade but no chance .. I even wrote letter complaining but nobody responded... Can you advice me how to get my sites actually included? Cheers, Vnetsian.
