    That was a lobbying scandal...not a stealing scandal such as the oil for food...that was robbing the poor.

    It was a 'good plan'. Sanction the living shit out of country, and make-up a program where some of the funds enter France, Russian, and handful of other banks. Filter the money out through ill-reviewed methods and even let Saddam have control of some of the funds. Don't mind the fact that billions disappeared in Al-Queda friendly banks....everything's ship-shape!?


    Our allies were financially invested in the status quo. And while I'm not in favor of our timing, we wouldn't have got a thumbs-up from our 'allies' for a long-time.
