It's like atheists want to be God's puppets but at the same time don't want to be. The only consistancy is the continued refusal to take responsibility for their own actions. God does prevent a lot of evil but other evils he allows for whatever reason. But in the end, all evil leads to good. The only way to stop all evil is to make all his creation mindless. It is not God that wishes evil on others, it is people who wish evil on others and God allows it to happen or restrains it according to his purpose. If he refused to allow all evil to happen it would be required that no one had a mind of their own. Being forced to do good is an oxymoron.

So I'm not sure how one ends up dead after using MJ. Unlike alchohol which brings out your repressed personality, MJ just mellows you out. There's no such thing as a raging MJ user. Strawman argument. I started smoking cigarettes because I wanted an easy way to destress. My friends gave me a hard time about it. One of those same friends then turned around and started smoking to destress. One of us managed to not get addicted. The reason I didn't get addicted is because I would pay for an entire pack but only smoke one or two and give the rest away. To stop smoking I smoked all of the remaining stale cigarettes in the pack at once. I managed one puff before I had to spit them out. I refused to get addicted and now I only smoke in certain social situations because I want to. Nobody has ever offered me a cigarette. I ask for one if I want one. I smoke because I like the feeling that comes with it. One cigarette equals one beer minus the hangover. If you tell your kid they only want to smoke to be "cool" they're going to think you're a jackass. You're better off being honest and letting them know other ways to stop stressing and the dangers of addiction. I know how to manage stress so I don't use drugs to deal with it. I'm willing to bet that most kids start smoking to help deal with stress but parents are too ignorant to realize it and just belittle them with idiotic accusations about trying to be "cool." Not only do they not feel cool but now their own parents are telling them they're not cool. That's a real nice thing to say to someone in an age group whose major source of stress is socially induced. They're not smoking to be cool and fit in. They're smoking because they're stressed out because they don't fit in. Nobody has ever accused me of not being cool because I didn't smoke. Ever notice that the kids who tend to smoke are the outcasts?
Everyone has their own personal tastes. We should all be respectful of each others choices -- as long as we are not harmed by them. MJ isn't my thing, but I am cool with anyone who enjoys it. Tonight, my thing is Canadian rye whiskey and caffiene (Coke). It's all the same thing to me.
I personally had problems with stoned people being very annoying. The worst part is the killing off too many brain cells. So, I agree mj isn't that dangerous, just stupid. What I hate are the lies surrounding MJ. Stuff like it doesn't cause lung cancer, etc... I know one guy who smoked mj for propably around 6 years ended up with a brain tumor (cancer causing for those who think otherwise) and after he almost died and has a dent in his head where they cut his skull to releave preassure, now he is on medical mj and does nothing. arrggggg what a bunch of crock.
I understand where you are coming from, but how do you know if the MJ caused the cancer in your friend? Cancer is a funny animal, so many things can cause it. I was reading an article about how 80% of the people who die by 80 or whatever have cancer in their body in some stage. Prostate is the most common...most men have it...and don't know it even when they die.
