Hmmm i was looking around the net, i know that you can make money of advertisement, selling a product...etc...

But i was wondering what would be the best niche to go into to make a lot of money on a website?

The way I've found niches is by getting frustrated when I was trying to find some information about something, but not finding anything decent! :)

Generally from my experience the best sites are "informational" sites - sites that contain a lot of solid, almost reference type information about some subject.

Some people swear by blogs, "arcade" style sites, forums etc though. I am far from an expert - some people are making thousands a month so I guess they are the people to listen to really.

Thats not true, usually when its not competitive, that means there are not a lot of demand for that product. But also you don't want something very competitive.

I think the key to making money on your website is how you market to increase traffic. This is what I have learned from this site, though I am still a complete amatuer.

    Hello everyone,

Textlinksguru - As you can tell by the posts here, there are many ways to make money online; this includes

    1. Selling infoproducts online.
    2. Selling via eBay.
    3. Being an affiliate for others' products.
    4. Niche marketing.
    5. Blogs.
    6. Providing SEO services.

There are others too - Google AdSense; providing other services online, etc.

Regarding competition, I think you have to have the right balance (all the more reason to conduct research on the number of searches and websites in a certain niche): Too many websites mean too much competition, while too few websites could mean either that it's a great niche to go into or there's not enough demand for it (look up how many searches for that specific niche are being conducted on Google and other search engines - that will tell you whether the lack of sites indicate lack of competition or lack of interest.)

Hopefully, this is helpful! :) Good luck in your online journey!

Take care and have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Joe Chengery III

It depends on what you know/want to do... If you are in programming then make a site about programming, offer services etc... you get the picture....

If you do an information site about something you have a wealth of knowledge in & you create good content, you will end up with good traffic, which=money through advertising/affiliate programs...etc.

If your looking to make a lot of money you have to be willing to give up around 200+$ for advertising scripts and everything else depending on what kind of site you make.
