Supplemental index

I have a site that took me a while to do and all the pages are in Supp index, I knew the reason why when looking at it so changed the pages which was last month but they are still in supp index, while the 'normal' google bot comes along the supp index one doesnt, how long do I need to wait?

I am finding it quite annoying as the site took me ages and am not getting any SEO traffic because of it (Even tho every page is different and really shouldnt even be in the supp index, but by Google laws it is).

    Thnx

I have quite a few incoming links and quite a few non reproical (sp) links too.

As I say the normal Google bot visits regulary, but just ignores the ones in supp index that I have changed.

Depends, but sometimes, it takes weeks to be processed...

To escape the dreaded supplemental index, these are the things to be considered...

    1. If you stole content - change it.
    2. If there’s no content - add some.
    3. If it’s orphaned - link to it.

Try to use unique titles and META tags for your pages. In addition, attract more inbound links to the supp. pages will help too :)

I beleive there are some short term problems with Google. There are still a whole load of PR0 pages out there. And lots of pages in the supplemental index. I believe it will right itself shortly.

I read this somewhere - don't put sitewide links to other sites from your site. Google doesn't like pages created to sell links or manipulate pagerank.

Correct, and another thing is, you must have lesser outbound links at first. Sometimes it becomes a cause for your site/page would be placed in supplemental index.
