I need Microsoft PowerPoint ASAP...is there any FREE alternative program that can open and edit PowerPoint files?

I have a PowerPoint presentation that is due anytime now, but I cannot afford PowerPoint. Can anyone point me to a free alternative, if there is any, that can open and edit and create PowerPoint files?

Maybe even someone has a copy I can have?
    Please help.

    Thanks.

Agree regarding Open Office. For home use it is excellent. Not ready for enterprise however IMHO

Open Office can be great for commercial use too depending what features you actually need. I think most companies could switch to OO without experiencing any missed feature.
