    Hey,

So I've got to grips with how you can set the keyword, max CPC, and click through url in one line in adwords... eg:

    [my exact search phrase]**0.20**destinationurl

I was wondering how you can set the ad copy dynamically in this way for each keyword you put in?

    Cheers,

    Tom

So how do you actually put the keyword into that line?

I thought Taulath's answer was pretty clear but here's a more detailed explanation.

Let's say your word keyword is "blue widget". Google requires you to add a default word that will replace the dynamic text if:

    1. Your keyword doesn't fit (too many characters).
    2. If the ad displays in the content network (because the content network doesn't display dynamic keywords but displays the default word instead).

Now, let's assume you use the word widget as your default word.

You're dynamic ad text should read:

    Looking for a {keyword:widget}?

Assuming this line is in the Headline it will display:

    Looking for a widget?

There are 26 characters in this phrase so it automatically displays the default word.

If it's in one of the description lines it will display:

    Looking for a blue widget?

Since it hasn't exceeded the 35 character limit.

    I hope this was clear.

That won't work. The first part has to be the keyword in this case. Your insertion will work in the ad though.
