Ok, I'm seeing major serp shuffle here: Not only are my site's keywords back to their pre_-November good rankings, but so far I'm seeing a steady climb. Not sure if this is just due to my data center here, cause a friends site (located here also) has also shown brief glimpses of incredibly high positioning... As for my PR it has remained the same, but something is definitely going on relating to SERPS for my key words and I imagine keywords across the board. My referer logs were down on Sunday, and I have 7,000 impressions that I can not account for... Anyone else seeing good things?
I have seen shifts up and down. I have learned to go into "ignore mode" whenever Google is updating anything.
Yup. My URL for most of my keywords has dissapeared off the front page. One of my keyword has gone from #1 position to #45. I love google
One of my sites has jumped very high in the SERPS and is starting to get some great traffic. It has steadily climbed this entire month with a couple of jumps up and down along the way. Now if I can just get some of my other sites up there in the SERPS with this site
Interesting, I am seeing totally the opposite. Many of my keywords from one site has seem to have vanished. Normally, google is by far and away the biggest referrer to this site but today its barely sending traffic. My mplacments were nicely settled for months but today they seem to have vanished. I don't mind if I don't see much of an improvement just yet but I want the rankings to come back to the position they were yesterday before this happened. Interestingly, on a few of the data centres that I can still see my rankings, the positions are actually one or two places better, but on the others they have vanished. Superpump:Are you saying you got 7,000 more impressions today than yesterday?
You're just picking up a different datacenter - which is still good because eventually all DC's will update with those rankings (* Disclaimer: usually)
What are your previous experiences? Have you seen things return to normal once things settle? If so, how long does it normally take before things get back to normal?
As Google's infrastructure grows and grows it seems to take longer and longer to get things in total sync. The last update took much longer than past updates.
SERP for one of my sites changed noticeably about two weeks ago, while PageRank hasn't moved one iota. I wonder if their is any correlation between the two.
I'm definitely seeing some changes on certain datacenters that are keyword specific. Some rankings are the same across all datacenters while some have almost completely disappeared on some datacenters. I think it's the -900 or -600 'penalty' some people have been talking about. Hopefully, these are just testing datacenters or something.
yesterday, I had 7,000 impressions that i can not account for due to my log page bing down for some reason. Anyway, guess we'll just wait till the dust settles if it ever will.
