Can I post to a category and NOT have it show up on the front page? I want to RSS in some news feeds on my particular subject, about 4-5 a week but do not want them on front page. I got the RSS part down, is there a solution for other part?
the only way i know for it not to show up is either: a) make it as a private post or b) publish at a later timepost.
I think this can be done, there are two plugins that work together the Opt In Front Page and the Static Front Page plugin, basically everything you put in the catagory blog will show up on your front page and the rest of your blog will be at yourblog.com/catagory/blog , i set up a example at my cubs-blog.com then click on the blog link on the nav bar to be taken to the rest of the blog. As for the rss feeds im assuming that you would then be able to use smart rss or another version that lets import feeds to different catagories. Good Luck
@ MarRome Thanks, I will look into it. Just saw your reply. Appreciate the response. Sounds like what I want to do.
I also have a category question myself, how can i change the position of the category? example: Link1 Link2 Link3 Link4 I want it to change into: Link1 Link3 Link2 Link4 I don't know how :/
Try this: Category Order 1.9.5 (http://www.coppit.org/code/) Allows the blog administrator to set an explicit ordering, spacing, and indentation of categories in the category list that appears in the sidebar. The administrator specifies the ordering in the new "Category Order" management page. There is also an option for placing the category post count inside the link.
