How to get on page 1 in google search

Hi,

My domain is just 5 months old i hav got PR 4 frm google.

i am already having 56K BLs 17k frm Alltheweb, 19k frm Altavista, just 17 frm Google, 100 frm MSN, 19k frm Yahoo.

But i want to know how to get on page 1 with my specific keyword on google search.

I'm very inclined to believe that google takes age of domain and the amount of time that a specific site has been on that domain.

We have a site that has been up since 2002 and actually almost abandoned for last 2 years. Google now puts as at worst on page 3 for most combinations of our keywords.

So my vote would be more age and stability than pure backlinks and keywords.

that's what I'm saying that it is a series of things:
1) Keywords and backlinks to your site with the keyword in the tag/link
2) Age of your site and content will also help you score better.

 

And having the keywords in the url of your pages is very important for google including the title of the page.

Well your website, need to be optimized, for that particular keyword.So I would suggest to do some keyword optimization.Play around with keyword combinations etc.Try to get some backlinks as well,submit to directories,do link exchanges etc.

The whole process takes time, so doing this should in the long run contribute, to getting your website to a number one position on google.

 

Check this forum's pages: Mainly should be optimized for the keywords for that page. (so thread title is also made to be page title here!) but you should try to optimize pages for your main keywords (the keywords you are targetting for the whole site) too if possible.

 

Remember - with links it's quality over quantity, irrelevant links will hurt you.

Look at the sites that are already above the fold.

What are they doing that you're not?
Why do you deserve to be #1?
Age of a site does help: If your site is new, try getting keyword rich relevant links from authority sites.

With google, #1 isn't as good as it used to be, now #1-#3 get the same traffic. Why? all the guff that google puts above #1 (adwords ads, other services, etc) which dilutes the impact of being #1

Will being #1 for your keywords actually bring in the qualified traffic you want? Is the ROI worth it?

Look at the keywords you are being found for, and if they convert well. What you think your keywords are may not be what your customers use to search you out.

 

You have a 5 month old site, and already you have 50,000 backlinks

Don't you think that might look a bit suspicious to Google?

Find the good keywords for your web site and submitted in directory ..

 

A. Choose specific pages to be targeted for specific keywords (one or two per page)
B. Get high-quality links going to those pages using those keywords
C. Remove all of the links that are posted in on spammy sites (link farms).

That should get you going in the right direction.

 

1.) Link building might help (buy links if you must) ...
2.) Do on-page optimization.
3.) Create an article, sometimes it might increase your site's SERP in each article you have submitted.

 

Age is quite important to Google. Your site is only 5 months old, so keep adding content & update your site regularly & do what has been covered in the above posts & you should get to your target. Except for the suggestion to buy links if you must(I wouldn't buy any links, as I think you already have enough for a 5 month old site).

 

that much links is a lot and you site might have already got flagged. As a rule do not exchange links unless it is going to bring you traffic. only get links from sites related to yours. do not link to sites that are banned or porn and gambling sites. Stay away from sitewide links.

I must say 50,000 links in 5 months is a lot.

which keyword you want to target?

if you know how to write Meta tag then it's possible within one week.

You get definitely coming up in google index page.

 

I can write meta tags but my car insurance site with adsense is still on page 2 for the term "car insurance".
