    Go to "Run reports >>> Transaction reports"
    Click on "report options"
    Select "commission detail"

    The report you generate from this page will contain SID's.

    It's a way for you to track exactly where a lead/sale came from. For example, if you were running ads on Google and Yahoo, you might set your SIDs to be SID=Google and SID=Yahoo so that you can keep track of which sources send you which leads.

    just add

    ?sid={keyword}

    at the end your link

    or

    &sid={keyword}

    if your url already has a '?' char

    it works very well.

    yes, you use as destination url something like:

    http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-12345656-98765432?SID={keyword}

    if you make a sale or lead and the keyword that triggered the ad is 'buy computer', when you a detailed reporting on CJ you will see on SID column a buy+computer

    There is no magic here: Google replace the {keyword} parameter on destination url by the keyword that triggered the ad - is similar to the {KeyWord:default} that you use on headline and description, but you do not use the default var there.

    from the CJ side it stores the sid= parameter and register when a lead/sale is performed.

    wait, i think we missunderstanding each other. that {Keyword} tag only would work if i use my affiliateurl.com/click-123123?sid={keyword} as adwords destination URL. This is NOT the case.

    I set up my own domain, where i have the affiliate links in it, with the SID values just to tell which links they click, which i dont care, i'd like to carry over the {keyword} value from the mywebsite/?kw={Keyword} which is used as destination URL in my adwords campaign.

    Hope this clears it up a bit, sorry :)

    You would need to setup your own code that stores the keyword value and resend it to the SID tag if the user click on the add.

    For example:

    you would have a destination url like that:

    mywebsite/?kw={Keyword}

    in your landing page it would need to have a code that automatically generate a code that would prepare the aff links with the ?Sid tag with the resulting value the ?kw value - if the ?kw value is buy+computer, automatically when your page loads all your aff links would pre-load like that:

    http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-12345656-98765432B?SID=buy+computer

    on your page - so it is prepared in the case the user clicks on it, it would carry the correct sid value.

    how to do it? you need to use some kind of language like javascript or PHP, etc... I am not an expert in this world but I think that is easy - just ask it in some forum the easier way to do it.

    I had the same question. I have been signed up with this company for a while and let my account go slack for several months and just took a RE look at it in detail.

    I had been wanting to add some ads to my website and I found that CJ gave me a pretty good hook.

    However, when I was completing some of the information, and there was a box for sid, I did not know what to put in it. It's blank for now, I'm just a single person with one little website so I guess I don't need to fuss with it too much then.

    SID is provided for you by CJ. you can use it for tracking, either manually put there something or write a code to put there a product id or I use it for landing keywords, want to see exactly what keywords sell...
