I think what he means is if that is his full time job, he has to subtract his house mortgage, insurance, and all that other good stuff.

Who knows why he is passionate about them. I know I have friends that love mobile phones, and like trade and buy new mobile phones every 2 or 3 months. It is quite possible that he was passionate enough about them to make a site about them. Why do people want to save whales? Why do people love painting? Why do people love sports? Why do people love money? We all have different passions, it just so happened that his his passions actually come with a big check at the end.

Only if they think that they can create sites about things that they don't even like or care about let alone love, and then make a full time living from it. If you don't love it chances are you won't do it.

If you love doing it when you are earnings $1/day the motivation should definitely still be there when you are earning $100/day. So it's best to find topics you'd talk about for $1/day - that way the money isn't the real drive.

Whilst it is a blog it isn't really run like a traditional blog - it has a real website feel about it.

Yes, it seems more like a site than a blog. I would love to know how much traffic he is getting.

I'm not worried about 45K. I'm more worried about getting to the $100 before next year.

It'll come, just keep working for that goal and when you reach it, reach higher.

    $45000 a year!!!

Well, let's say roughly 30 cents a click

that's 150,000 clicks on his adsense

    let's say a nice 10% clickthrough

    1.5million hits a year

    Not bad at all!!

What are you trying to say? You must be trying to work how many page impressions he gets a year, right?

That shows that there is a future in Internet but you need to work hard and give very much time to it.

i think adsense is great for the people who are living in poor countries.
i have a friend from india who's making about 3000$ from adsense a month.
so imagine what can he do with such amount of money there.
1000$ for us may looks not a big deal but for people who are living in a country where income average is 100 and 200 dollars it does!
