basically you create a adwords account, setup an ad campaign that bids on certain keywords, and when your campaign is live, when someone using google searches for that keyword, they see your ad on the right side of the search results under "sponsored results" you pay to have front page exposure so you don't have to mess around with seo techniques and methods that change by the minute it seems... does that answer your question? oliver
forgot to mention, if someone clicks on your "sponsored listing" on the right of the search results, google levies a CPC ( cost per click ) charge in the range of your initial bid. so i type "google adwords" in google search, and you are bidding .15 cents on "google adwords" with an ad that says "Adwords Secrets Revealed" Quick Wasting Thousands On PPC You Too Can Succeed At Adwords... www whatever dot com i see your ad, i click it, you get charged the .15 cents as an advertiser. i'm redirected to the webpage shown in the ad above Oliver
At this point with all the rule changes and guidlines I'd say AdWords is right up there in terms of complexity with seo. Not to mention you can lose $$$ a lot faster with AdWords than you can with seo Naomi21, take it slow, ask questions and run small tests to figure out the basics. I've seen people waste hundreds/thousands on accident thinking AdWords was "easy". Good luck!
