I noticed that visitors are using search box heavily on my site - so if I implement Adsense for search it might perform well.

    Anyone already having similar case?

I tried it several months ago and it didn't do very well.. I think because I was not able to blend it very well.. it seemed very limited in the options Adsense provided for colors, backgrounds, etc.
Every site varies, so you should try it to see if it works for YOUR site - then come back here and let us know.

It could provide a nice extra bounus that you won't get by using your own search.

I did get good results but I asked google if it was not in violation of TOS and they said it was.

What I did was delete the background color

so where it says bgcolor="FFFFFF" I deleted the FFFFFF which made it transparent. and they said because I altered the code its against TOS. I also moved the php code (it fucked up my tables) around but I did not alter it.

from what I know you can change the background color to a color to match the site but that is all.

so say your background is green you can alter the background color code only to blend in nicely.

Well google now offers customised search for your site.

Google made it very simple to add to your site and completely customize it. Within a very short time I rolled it out, fully integrated and customized to my blogs.

With how easy this is to customize I just don’t understand why some people are leaving it with the default “look and feel” pointing to Google.

Try these links, and see the results.

    It's work well for me.

The CTR was better than ads display. The eCPM is also about the same with ads display.

Though in term of search quantity, it's much lower than viewing pages.

I implemented it today - they have added lot of options and customization of ad results page now. Looks good and fits well with my site page.

Lets see for a week how does it perform.

    Thanks

If they use the search function on your website then you might benefit. On mine however I took it off as it was not doing any good

Its my first day : Results are GOOD. I am getting highest CTR and CPM (compare to my contextual) - but off course number of clicks are below 10.

Anyways, its nice earnings from the unused traffic (going away after performing search on my site)
