Sites violating Google Adsense TOS. Adds next to car images is deceptive.

As far as I know there is no such violation unless you mislead people intentionally, but this is not the case.

However the fact is that about to finish my writing assignment, all referenceskeep bringing me back to this post, other sites where ExoticCarsSite is listed, and the site itself, LOL

 

this is a very impressive and solid site, as ECS said, all it needs is someone to bring it up to coding standard, and you will have a real winner here. Maybe add some other income streams such as direct advertising, keep adsense there and youve got a serious moneymaker there.

You are so correct about a large well developed site, how can anyone base it just off 10x revenue. It took a LOONG time to setup a site like this. Why would a myspace site which could be setup quickly and this type of site be both be set at 10x revenue , thats dumb.

Thats why it might be hard to sell a great site to most on DP cause they also go uh duh you are asking more than 10x revenue...

Did youtube sell for 10x revenue, uh NO

No Images next to ads!
Ads should be explicit!

Imo a site of such high quality can make quite alot more than it was with adsense. And this should not affect the willingness of people to bid.

If I had the cash I would definitely bid.

With someone who knows what they are doing, I'm betting they would get a turn-a-round return of 12 months.

The figures I posted above are just publisher income. Not to mention Road & Track, Automobile Mag and Car & Driver still wish to advertise on the site with a simple text link. RSportsCars charges $500US/wk for the link on his site... but I'm not greedy, call it $1K for the month, and I'd be happy with that. Right there, is another $1K each month...... I just CBF getting their text link details, collecting their $$$ and opening my FTP client to upload the changes and get the $1K lol.

Do you own the copyright to these images, or have written permission to use them?

Also, could you talk a little about hosting requirements- how many GB/month are you moving, is it on a dedicated box, etc.

 

I'm hosted on a 20GB account, with a shared server, with 500GB of bandwidth allocation.

All the images are copyright free, as they are what we in the industry call, media pictures. Every manufacturer, Ferrari, Honda, Ford, Lambo, Renault etc etc etc all have private websites with secure logins required to gain access, popularly known as media sites.

Inside this area, are the latest news, pics, videos, concepts, and other information. All information found within these sites are "Free for editorial use only" - inferring any publishing application can be used in conjunction with them - IE: websites, blogs, radio, newspaper, magazines etc. Alot of the images found on the site, you can also find in magazines etc for this very reason. The images are primarily taken by Ferrari or Lamborghini themselves, thus copyright free - free for editorial use only. They also outsource photographers to do photoshoots with the cars, but its apart of their contract disclosure, that any of the images taken are owned by Ferrari / Lamborghini / Lotus / Ford etc, and not the photographer. I know this because Easton Chang, one of Australia's most famous automotive photographers, is on my MSN.

I have at my disposal, about 300 of these private websites to use. More than anyone else I know, including all my competitors.

I think the consensus from all posts is that this is a large and well established website with good ongoing revenue potential. One question left I guess....anyone prepared to make an opening bid?

It seems all is quiet on the DP front. It's the only place the website is currently listed as being for sale. Figured I'd give some DP members the oppertunity to buy first. Just my way of rewarding someone for being a DP member, since I've learnt so much from this very forum from the past. My chance to give something back.

I'm glad you didn't take my reply as a flame I wrote it, posted it, then re-read it, and I was like.... hmmmm they may interpretate this as a flame post... but then I realised you were from Oz, so I was like, nah, its all good, they'll understand That's just how I look at 10 muliplier's anyway - MFA / annoying ringtone type sites lol.

 

Great Site. Can i see screenshots of the revenue from each of your 4 advertising companies. Buying a site for the price of what your asking, i would like to see screenshots please, i highly doubt anyone will 'take your word' on the revenue made. I dont know anyone who would hand over $32,000 and not see proper screenshots of the revenue made. 48 Images you said for 12 months Well show me last 6 months revenue in screenshots please.
